Timescales

From design to finished pool

Indicative timescales for an in-ground pool, based on our experience on site: planning ahead means having your pool ready at the start of the summer season.

Site visit and ideas

We visit the site, listen to your ideas and assess the ground, access and any constraints.

Design and permits

The project is handled by our technicians; permits take at least 30–60 days, depending on the local council.

Structure

Excavation, reinforced concrete pours and preparation for pipework, skimmers, lights and inlets: 20–30 working days.

Lining and finishes

Installation of the PVC liner or tiles and finishing work: around 7–8 days.

Testing and filling

Water supply and testing of the systems: around 40 working days in total.

Design choices

Ground, structure, water circulation

Every plot calls for its own solution: on sloping ground at risk of subsidence, reinforced concrete is the better choice; on flat, compact ground, prefabricated steel panels cut both time and cost, provided they are load-bearing and properly installed.

Then comes the choice of how to circulate the water: with skimmers, simple and functional, or with an overflow (infinity) system, for consistently crystal-clear water.
